Gov. Doyle backs off energy goal for UW-Green Bay and three others
The Associated Press reported Monday (Dec. 21) that Gov. Jim Doyle is backing away from a campaign promise that UW-Green Bay, UW-Oshkosh, UW-River Falls and UW-Stevens Point will be able to “go off the grid” by 2012. Doyle now says that while campuses will sharply reduce carbon emissions, it may not be practical or realistic for schools to get into the business of energy production.
