Green Bay was named the best place to live in the Wisconsin, coming in 12th place in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-2026 Best Places to Live in the U.S. ranking.

For the list, the publication analyzed 150 cities in the U.S. based on quality of life, job market, value of living and desire to live in the area.

“To make the top of the list, a place had to have good value, be a desirable place to live, have a strong job market and a high quality of life,” the report said.

Two other Wisconsin cities made the list — Madison was close behind Green Bay, in 14th, and Milwaukee was 112th.
