A big congratulations to Phoenix women’s basketball player Adrian Ritchie, who scored her career-milestone 1,000th point Friday (Nov. 30) in a 64-52 home win over the University of Indianapolis. She’s just the 30th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark, the Press-Gazette reported Saturday (Dec. 1). “It was cool timing,” Ritchie told reporter Scott Venci. “To have my family see it. … I didn’t go through it in high school (Ritchie scored 872 points at De Pere). So to have it at the higher level is definitely a good thing.” Full story.
