UW-Green Bay alumnus stellar basketball career almost never happened

UW-Green Bay alumnus Jeff Nordgaard’s stellar basketball career almost didn’t happen, the Press-Gazette reports. As a freshman, Nordgaard determined he wasn’t good enough to be an impact basketball player and considered going to another school to play football instead. However, he stayed with the UW-Green Bay basketball team and is now the second player in team history to have his number retired. The retiring ceremony will take place during halftime at the men’s basketball game on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 at 1 p.m. Read more.
