Attacking Alzheimer’s Night: UWGB women’s volleyball team supports fight against Alzheimer’s | WFRV

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The UW Green Bay women’s volleyball team hosted the 5th annual Attacking Alzheimer’s Night at the Kress Events Center.

This special event raised funds and awareness in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, with proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association.

The highlight of the evening was the recognition of former Wisconsin Governor Marty Schreiber for his outstanding advocacy and work supporting the Alzheimer’s cause. Schreiber, who cared for his late wife Elaine during her battle with Alzheimer’s, received the game ball and addressed attendees during the pregame.

This event went beyond volleyball, providing critical support to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s. Funds raised help provide 24/7 care and advance research for a cure.

“We are thrilled to continue this incredible tradition,” says Cari Josephson, Director of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. “This event brings our community together to make a real impact for families facing Alzheimer’s.”
