Review: 'Unnecessary Farce' is silly, well-executed fun

The fun and frenetic Unnecessary Farce, UW-Green Bay Theatre’s second offering of the 2011-12 season, received a perfect four-star review in Monday’s (Nov. 14) Green Bay Press-Gazette. This contemporary production, written by Paul Slade Smith and directed by UW-Green Bay’s Laura Riddle, is “sexy, fast and ridiculous,” says critic Warren Gerds. The play opened Friday (Nov. 11) and three shows remain, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday (Nov. 17-19) at the University Theatre in Theatre Hall.
