Phoenix soccer team turns back Badgers

The UW-Green Bay men capitalized on a late goal and stingy defense to claim a 1-0 victory Wednesday over the Wisconsin Badgers at Aldo Santaga Stadium. Midfielder Francois Basty scored in the 74th minute to break a scoreless tie. The Phoenix is 5-0-1 in first place in the Horizon League and 10-1-2 overall. The Phoenix is on the road Saturday vs. Valparaiso. A conference title would mean that the Phoenix would host the conference tournament in November. See Green Bay Press-Gazette coverage.
