PDC grad is a ‘teacher of the year’
Keller Elementary School Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Kay Zastrow was named the state’s special services teacher of the year. Zastrow received her Professional Development Certificate through UW-Green Bay, completing the requirements of the Conscious Discipline program in June 2004. “My teaching practice and indeed my personal life have been dramatically altered for the better due to the attitudes, skills and strategies that I have acquired and seen effectively implemented through the Conscious Discipline program,” she wrote in her abstract. Zastrow is one of five teachers to receive the teacher of the year award and the only teacher in the Northeastern Wisconsin region. See the Green Bay Press-Gazette story.
