Miller featured on front page of Press-Gazette, in online video
Chancellor Gary L. Miller is featured on the front page of the Monday (Aug. 18) Green Bay Press-Gazette, in a story that examines his background, motivations for coming to UW-Green Bay and thoughts and plans for the future. Reporter Patti Zarling conducted the get-to-know-you interview last week on campus, while videographer Kyle Bursaw recorded the session for an online video. Miller said he’s getting to know the campus and community in various ways, including dissemination of a survey designed to gauge the input of campus and community stakeholders on the University’s strengths and areas for potential growth. “The University is relatively new, so there’s a lot of opportunity to still shape its future,” Miller said. “And probably one of the things that attracted me — one of the most important things — was that this community has always supported this institution.” Readers may notice that the story’s first direct quote attributed to Miller seems to be incomplete — the full version of what he said begins at about the 1:45 mark and wraps up at about 2:10 in the video.
