UW System President Kevin Reilly makes a great case for higher ed investment in a guest editorial in Friday’s (July 20) Green Bay Press-Gazette. Higher education is critical for Wisconsin’s economy, Reilly says, and making smart long-term investments in higher ed will benefit the entire state. He cites a study that shows closing the education gap can improve the state’s bottom line — “if Wisconsin can match the performance of states with significantly higher numbers of college graduates, revenues could increase by $815 million per year.
