WBAY: UW-Green Bay adds texting to emergency plans
College campuses across Northeastern Wisconsin are upgrading safety measures.
UW-Green Bay is no exception, having added emergency text messaging to its communications toolbox over the summer. Students, faculty and staff who sign up can be warned of emergency situations — everything from a shooter on campus to a blizzard that cancels classes — via their cell phone.
