Students reaching out to peers

UW-Green Bay students have reached out to help their peers after a fire destroyed a 63-bed on-campus apartment building June 25.

Campus officials are optimistic all displaced students will have housing options when the fall semester starts Sept. 3.

Many UW-Green Bay have volunteered to move off campus, while others have opened their doors and said they are willing to take on an extra roommate.

“We have great students here at UWGB,” Residence Life Director Glenn Gray told WBAY. “I knew if we called them for help they would rise to the occasion, and they really did.”
