UW-Green Bay Aviation Camp takes off

A UW-Green Bay aviation camp was in the news Friday (June 21), with NBC 26 reporting on the offering at Austin Straubel Airport. The one-day Aviation Student Training Experience gives students age 12 to 17 the chance to learn about flight and aerodynamic principles; tour airport facilities; and take a “discovery flight” in a training aircraft with an FAA-certified instructor. Fourteen students took part in this year’s camp, offered through the Division of Outreach and Adult Access in partnership with CAVU Aviation, Inc. And speaking of camps…
It’s another busy week for UW-Green Bay summer campers, with Senior High Summer Art Studio, Hands-on Rocketry and Bellin College of Nursing (offsite, with housing on our campus) camps taking place. See a complete lineup and more information.
