Comm major gets “Buzzed” job

The “Buzzed Into the 920” segment on local TV has a new reporter with another UW-Green Bay connection. Kari Merchant, a junior Communication major from Green Bay, recently became the local entertainment reporter for “The Daily Buzz,” a nationally syndicated talk/news program on the CW Network. The Northeastern Wisconsin affiliate, WIWB TV-14, airs local cut-ins called “Buzzed into the 920” during the national show. Merchant replaces Kristen Reitz in the reporter’s role. Reitz, a Communication Processes degree holder, will focus on her career as a DJ at WIXX radio. Merchant is introduced – click here.
