Warpinski on student IDs: Demand will dictate possible change
Wisconsin’s new voter ID law continues to raise questions about how, if at all, colleges and universities statewide may change student IDs to make them valid for voting. As it stands, no Wisconsin student IDs — including UW-Green Bay’s — meet the law’s standards, which include having an expiration date and a student signature. Upgrading the IDs would come at a considerable cost, and University Union director Rick Warpinski told WFRV TV that officials would wait to see what students say before making any changes. Read more.
