Furlong shares thoughts on the early race for Kohl’s Senate seat
The moment Wisconsin Sen. Herb Kohl — the longtime legislator and billionaire Milwaukee Bucks owner — announced recently he won’t seek another term in office, the pundits and politicians began speculating about who might replace him in 2012. Reports surfaced Tuesday that former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson likely will throw his hat in the ring, an announcement that provides an interesting prelude to what’s likely to be a hotly contested and closely watched election.
