Feeding an educational appetite… and cows

UW-Green Bay’s incoming freshman class will have one student with more responsibility on his plate than homework, midterms and group projects.

At age 17, Oconto Falls High School senior Bradley Beaumier already owns a herd of 65 dairy cows, which he takes care of every day while still maintaining a 4.0 grade-point-average. The Green Bay Press-Gazette named Beaumier, a UW-Green Bay scholarship recipient, to its 2009 Academic Team.

His plan is to attend the UW-Green Bay in preparation for veterinary school in Madison, then return to Northeastern Wisconsin and set up practice.
