Article details UW-Green Bay grad student’s role in rare warbler’s rediscovery

Kirtland’s warblers are slowly gaining a foothold in scrubby jack pine country, not only in Michigan, but in Wisconsin. The endangered species (at one time population estimates were as low as 100 or so) appears to be staging a comeback with better wildlife management. And at least one UW-Green Bay student is in the field, helping. The Wisconsin DNR magazine has a detailed feature on the recover project including mention of grad student Jennifer Goyette.
