In what the Green Bay Press-Gazette termed its “most memorable game in its 39-year history,” the UW-Green Bay Phoenix women’s basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Kentucky Monday (March 19) evening in the second round of the NCAA tournament. A tough first half ended with a 17-point deficit, but the women fought their way back to take their first lead, 62-61, late in the game. In the end, however, the SEC champion Wildcats prevailed, eking out a 65-62  victory. Game recap, plus a great photo gallery.
