In the news: Strohfus, University
The trailblazing nonagenarian pilot is making headlines during her two-day campus and community visit, presented in conjunction with the UW-Green Bay production of Censored on Final Approach, which tells the tale of women like Strohfus, an elite corps of World War II pilots whose contributions largely remained unheralded until relatively recent years. The spitfire Strohfus met with members of the news media yesterday, prior to sharing her incredible stories during an afternoon panel session in the Christie Theatre. Today, she was off to the EAA AirVenture Museum and Neville Public Museum before returning to attend tonight’s performance and deliver a talk at the close of the show. You can check out some of the terrific media coverage below. Strohfus also will be featured as a Local 5 News “Hometown Hero” at a future date.
