Watch out for cold fish
Fish fries could pose health risks, especially if the fish isn’t fully cooked, said UW-Green Bay’s Karen Lacey, a registered dietician and director of the University’s dietetics program. Lacey told the Press-Gazette that cooks should be “checking some random samples, especially when you’re deep frying, to make sure the internal temperature is appropriate.” Her best advice is to eat with people you trust, whether that be at a restaurant or at a community fish fry, such as a church event.
