‘New Deal’ developments still exist locally

Prof. Andrew Kersten provided insight on a Press-Gazette story about how projects developed from President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal survive yet today. The New Deal had a mixed impact on Wisconsin with some areas, including the Fox Valley, enduring the economic ups and downs with more stability, Kersten told the paper. “Things were very tight and tough, but they weren’t as bad as out in California or Michigan,” Kersten said.
