Press-Gazette examines enrollment numbers here, at NWTC

A still-struggling economy, demographics and competition are some of the challenges to maintaining UW-Green Bay enrollment numbers, Dean of Enrollment Services Mike Stearney recently told the Green Bay Press-Gazette, but officials here are optimistic enrollment will hold steady for the next academic year. Stearney’s comments were part of a front-page story in Monday’s (Feb. 13) P-G that looked at enrollment figures here and at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. Stearney also pointed out UW-Green Bay is graduating more students — December’s 400-plus graduates set a new mid-year record — which, in a way, makes UW-Green Bay “a victim of its own success,” Stearney said.
