At Eau Claire, Stout, no plans for letter-writing campaigns


Strategies for responding to the 2015-17 state budget vary by campus. For example, the Eau Claire Leader Telegram reports that UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stout have no plans to follow UW-Madison’s lead and petition alumni, parents and students to write to legislators and announce their oppositions to Gov. Scott Walker’s budget cuts. Both Stout and Eau Claire officials, however, explain they are working to provide stakeholders with critical information about the cuts, and those stakeholders are already weighing in, on their own.
