Prominent jazz musician, former UW-Green Bay student Buffa dies

Former UW-Green Bay student and well-known jazz musician Todd Buffa died unexpectedly Friday (Jan. 27) at the age of 59. Buffa, of De Pere, was a three-time Grammy Award nominee who led the vocal group Rare Silk for nine years, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Buffa, who attended UW-Green Bay periodically from 1971-77, performed on campus as recently as summer 2010, when he was part of a Jazz on the Bay summer camp concert. Full story
