University of Wisconsin – Green Bay Chancellor discusses the Marinette Campus | Bay Cities Radio

In an exclusive interview with the University of Wisconsin – Green Bay Chancellor Michael Alexander, we discussed the collaboration between UWGB – Marinette Campus and Marinette County, the Herbert Williams Theatre, and to provide regional delivery of educational opportunities through camps and clinics, Lifelong Learning Institute; and community programming, such as the Children’s Theatre, Theatre on the Bay, and the West Shore Choral. Alexander says, “we are working to make a paradigm shift to redefine how we will measure success, provide value to our constituents, and invest in UW – Green Bay’s location in Marinette.

Alexander says, “I think that there’s a tendency to assign fault. I don’t think there is any fault here.”

According to Alexander’s memo, he is advising the County of the University’s plans in moving forward as well as setting the stage for further discussions and collaborations with the County. The next immediate steps, a high-level meeting needs to be organized between the County and the University. The University would like to have an overall assessment, communication, and plan for action established by January 31.
