Harden’s ‘What We Pay’ guest column runs in Post-Crescent

Chancellor Tom Harden’s guest column on Gannett Wisconsin Media’s “What We Pay” series continues to make the rounds, appearing Tuesday (Jan. 22) in the Post-Crescent of Appleton. As we told you here before, Harden’s response says that while discussing salaries can be awkward, the series offers some important context for UW-Green Bay and UW System salaries that lag behind those at peer institutions. That gap can lead to recruitment and retention challenges, Harden said, and threaten the University’s margin of excellence. Full column.
