Former UW-Green Bay Women’s coach Kevin Borseth, who still has many friends on campus, reflected recently on his mid-major salad days in Green Bay when the Argus Leader newspaper asked the veteran coach what the upstart South Dakota Sate University women’s basketball team can expect now that it has cracked the Top 25 polls. “No matter what you touch, it turns to gold,” Borseth said, remembering that first breakthrough for the Phoenix. “That’s a pretty good feeling, knowing every time you step on the floor, you’re going to do well.
