Media coverage: Prof. Stoll on gas prices
UW-Green Bay Prof. John Stoll (Public and Environmental Affairs) says the rising gas prices aren’t unexpected but it may slow the economic recovery. Stoll, the chair of the Economics Program, told Fox 11 “Nationally as our economy comes out of that decline that we experienced, we’re seeing an increase in demand for gasoline.” Stoll added that will translate into higher costs for businesses, which means lower profits. “That’s going to slow down the profitability and their willingness to hire additional labor and other kinds of resources,” Stoll said.
