Phoenix Athletics tops Horizon in graduation rates
The Horizon League issued a press release Thursday to brag up the scores of its nine member schools on the NCAA’s newly released Graduation Success Rate scorecard. Leading the way were student-athletes from UW-Green Bay, where eight of 13 Phoenix teams posted perfect, 100-percent graduation rates.
The Green Bay program accounted for roughly one-fourth of the Horizon League’s 33 perfect team scores. Overall, student-athletes at UW-Green Bay earned degrees within six years at a 91 percent rate, tops in the league and about 10 points above the national average in NCAA Division I.
“I want to congratulate Green Bay on its commitment to academic achievement, as demonstrated by these figures,” said Horizon League Commissioner Jonathan B. LeCrone.
