Notes: Hutchison

Prof. Ray Hutchison, Urban and Regional Studies, has returned from meetings in Florence where he was asked to select a planning committee for a conference on  Henri Lefenvre and the new urban sociology (the textbook by Mark Gottdiener and Ray Hutchison titled The New Urban Sociology will be published in 4th edition in 2009). Hutchison selected members of the planning committee (including urban scholars from Belgrade, Berlin, Bologna, Florence, Recife (Brazil) and Zurich).  The conference, scheduled for July 2009 in Florence, is titled Everyday Life in the Segmented City, and will include urban scholars and community professionals from around the world.
