Prof. Garcia elected to role with national association
UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof. Adolfo Garcia has been elected 2010 Chair of the Peace and Conflict Division of the National Communications Association. Among his duties is to help solicit and select papers to be presented to the 2010 Conference in San Francisco. The chairperson also manages division meetings, selects scholarship awards and guides business of the group, and Garcia will serve as representative to the larger NCA legislative assembly. The Peace and Conflict division has over 350 active members and is involved in the scholarship of conflict analysis, negotiation, mediation, and any form of conflict management.
