Mideast initiative involves many at UW-Green Bay
As the news release (click here) indicates, the new training grant enlists involvement from across campus. Prof. Meir Russ and Assistant Dean Mike Marinetti are co-principal investigators, and the University’s international projects coordinator, Jay Harris, has been instrumental in making the application and managing the project. Harris developed the proposal in close cooperation with the Institute for Research; Paul Lemens of the new Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation; Don McCartney of Business Administration; Christina Trombley of the Small Business Development Center; and Brent Blahnik of International Education. UW-Green Bay has had previous success with State Department initiatives and/or outreach to the Muslim World through the ongoing “Journey to Jordan” program, visiting faculty and a 2004 training program for visiting Pakistani educational administrators. The UW-Green Bay project was one of only four unanimously approved for funding in its competitive-grant category.
