Brys earns UW Colleges, Extension award for partnership work
Business counselor Chuck Brys of the UW-Green Bay Small Business Development Center recently received a 2013 UW Colleges and UW-Extension Chancellor’s Award for his work with the Forest County Economic Development Partnership. Brys and Steven Nelson, a community and youth development educator at Extension’s Forest County Office, accepted the honor last week during a ceremony in Madison. The award recognizes outstanding performance of an individual or team that has advanced UW Colleges’ or UW-Extension’s commitment to civic engagement, community outreach or service learning. The Forest County Economic Development Partnership is a public/private effort to support small businesses, facilitate community projects and attract new industries while maintaining the county’s natural resources, heritage and cultural transitions.
