Gurung invited to Saudi Arabia
Prof. Regan A. R. Gurung has been invited to King Saud University in Saudi Arabia to conduct a trio of all-day workshops on the topic of “Student Learning and Motivation.” Gurung, a faculty member in Human Development and psychology who was recently awarded the title of Ben J. and Joyce Rosenberg Professor at UW-Green Bay, is a nationally regarded scholar in the study of teaching and learning. He says he’s looking forward to a very different cultural and educational experience in Saudi Arabia, considered the most traditional Islamic country in the Middle East. Gurung will be joined by higher-education colleagues from Virginia, Georgia, Louisiana and Alabama in making presentations at King Saud University, an institution of nearly 40,000 students located in Riyadh, the capital city.
