Faculty note: Dalke
Karen Dalke, an adjunct instructor in Social Change and Development, traveled to the Australian province of New South Wales in July to present a paper at the 2009 International Academic and Community Conference on Animals and Society. The conference, with the theme “Minding Animals,” was held in Newcastle, about two hours north of Sydney. The title of Dalke’s paper was “A Translocal Perspective: Mustang Images in the Cultural, Economic and Political Landscape.”
