Dutch, Yingst highlight local media coverage of shuttle launch
Our own Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium and the University’s astronomy and atmospheric experts were in high demand last Friday as space shuttle Atlantis made its historic final launch from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Prof. Steve Dutch of Natural and Applied Sciences was there to witness the final blastoff firsthand, while Aileen Yingst, director of the WSGC, weighed in on the event closer to home. Both WFRV, Channel 5, and WLUK, Fox 11, interviewed the pair, gathering thoughts on the space shuttle program and the end of an era. You can check out the stories here: WFRV or WLUK
