Staff notes: Rogers, Ettinger

Emily Rogers, Coordinator of Public Services and Renee Ettinger, Information Literacy and Reference Librarian, both of the Cofrin Library, presented the program, Less Train, More Gain : Using Technology to Train, Maintain, and Retain Part-time and Student Employees, at the recent American Library Association’s Annual Conference in Washington D.C. The program focused on using web-based technology, interactive courseware, and other tools to keep training student employees consistent and manageable. Online training programs, peer-to-peer and group training, and well-defined standards and benchmarks were discussed.
