Emmons part of Kohler Arts Center ‘Industry’ show
Art Prof. Carol Emmons (Art and Design) has a sculpture in the “Arts/Industry: Collaboration and Revelation” exhibition at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan. This first-ever retrospective celebrates 40 years of the groundbreaking program that places artists in the Kohler factory. The exhibit explores the program’s effects on artists’ practices, its critical impact in the broader art world, and its influence on factory culture. Emmons, an alumna of the 2012 Pottery residency, is also included in a major catalog currently in press. In addition, along with other program alumni, she took part in three days of activities at the Arts Center and Kohler Company factory. The exhibition runs through August 2014. More information:
