Kraft essay on green energy draws national attention
The other day we matter-of-factly reported on a Florida newspaper reprinting an essay by Prof. Michael Kraft, Public and Environmental Affairs. Turns out, it was just the tip of the iceberg. Kraft writes several opinion pieces each year for the McClatchy-Tribune news service. This latest column addresses the question “Should Congress give solar and wind power major roles as the U.S. steps up efforts to combat climate change?” Since our note last week, major newspapers including the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Kansas City Star and the Miami Herald have picked up Kraft’s piece, and other newspapers coast-to-coast including the La Crosse Tribune, the Juneau (Alaska) Empire, the Sacramento Bee, the Idaho Statesman, the Biloxi Sun-Herald, the Rock Hill (S.C.)
