Profs. Arendt, Kiehn chosen UW System ‘Fellow’ and ‘Scholar’

Profs. Lucy Arendt of Business Administration and Mark Kiehn of Education have been chosen by the Instructional Development Council to be UW-Green Bay’s selections for an award-winning UW System faculty development program. Arendt, an assistant professor, has been named a “Teaching Fellow” for 2009-10. That initiative gives early-career educators an opportunity for intensive inquiry into teaching and learning. Kiehn, an associate professor, has been named UW-Green Bay’s 2009-2010 “Teaching Scholar.” That initiative allows tenured faculty to pursue advanced projects in the scholarship of teaching and learning. Teaching Fellows and Scholars are expected to serve as leaders and mentors in campus and UW System SoTL work. Both programs provide financial resources and S&E assistance to participating faculty under the auspices of OPID, the UW System Office of Professional and Instructional Development.
