Faculty note: Reilly publication

Kimberley Reilly, assistant professor of Democracy and Justice Studies, has published an article, ” ‘A Perilous Venture for Democracy’: Soldiers, Sexual Purity, and American Citizenship in the First World War,” in the April volume of the Journal of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. The article traces the origins of the U.S. government’s campaign to protect drafted servicemen from alcohol and sexual vice during the war.
