Faculty notes: Collins, Severtson, Salerno, O'Grady

Special guest musicians and the State-Bound Honor Band will be a part of the UW-Green Bay Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 22) at the Weidner Center. Prof. Kevin Collins directs, colleagues David Severtson, John Salerno and Terence O’Grady will participate, and former faculty member Scott Wright, now with the University of Kentucky, will guest conduct the State-Bound Honor Band, made up of some of the area’s top young musicians. Severtson will perform Philip Rothman’s “Departure Point” for solo piano and wind ensemble. Salerno will premiere the work, “Nocturne,” by musicologist O’Grady.
