Faculty note: Arendt, retirees co-author new book

Prof. Lucy A. Arendt, Assistant Professor of Business Administration (Management) and two retired faculty members are co-authors of a book recently published by the Public Entity Risk Institute (PERI), a non-profit research institute that develops risk management education and training resources. The book, “Managing for Long-Term Community Recovery in the Aftermath of Disaster,” is targeted primarily at local officials and community leaders in the United States who need help understanding the consequences of extreme events and guidance on what to do to ensure long-term community recovery. Arendt’s co-authors are Prof. Emeritus Daniel J. Alesch and Prof. James N. Holly, both retired faculty members from UW-Green Bay who continue to conduct research on issues of community recovery from extreme events.
