A busy Presidents Day for Harvey Kaye
Prof. Harvey Kaye of Democracy and Justice Studies spent part of Monday doing a live interview on the nationally broadcast Thom Hartmann Radio Show. The midday segment is titled “The National Mall: A Reminder of our Progressive Past.” Kaye also authored an essay that appeared Monday on the Daily Beast national news and opinion site. Titled “How the Revolution Forged Washington,” it described how George Washington entered the Revolution as a member of Virginia’s planter aristocracy who still toasted the king, and emerged at its end thinking of himself as American.
