Faculty note: Assistant Prof. Joan Groessl providing guidance in Suicide Prevention Training

UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof. Joan Groessl (Social Work) is leading the effort in the Live Algoma Suicide Prevention Training using the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Curriculum. The QPR training is being used to educate citizens on the issues related to suicide. She will be proctoring and providing guidance to those who will do the training. Live Algoma, a local community coalition spanning the Algoma School District footprint, invites community members to engage in their personal wellbeing and the overall health of our community. In 2016, UW-Green Bay students teamed up with the Live Algoma teams to perform evidence-based research on the health, well-being and equity of members of the Algoma community.
