UW-Green Bay’s Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble will take the stage at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 for a semester-end concert in the Cofrin Family (main) Hall of the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. The groups will perform the works of Mozart, Strauss (Johann Jr. and Sr. and Eduard) together during the first half of the concert, and the Wind Ensemble will go it alone after intermission. The ensemble will conclude the concert with several numbers from the beloved “Nutcracker Suite,” including Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Waltz of the Flowers. The concert is part of the Chancellor’s Holiday Gathering, meaning faculty and staff can obtain complimentary tickets through the Chancellor’s Office. Our news release has additional info.
