Veteran cast runs amuck (correction, that’s amok, a-m-o-k) in ‘Spelling Bee’

Fans of the UW-Green Bay theatre program will see familiar names on the cast list for the “over-the-top” musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Opening night is this Thursday (Nov. 18) in the University Theatre. The competition is a device for great humor and music.  “The characters are very recognizable,” says Prof. Laura Riddle, director. “They’re eccentric in their own way but they are recognizable and I think people can really relate to the kind of heartache that kids go through in their adolescence.” For a full news release including the cast list, click here.
