Ally Conference for diversity: Saturday (Oct. 24)
It’s a big weekend on campus for those promoting diversity. The second annual ALLY Conference will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 24) in the University Union. The conference emphasizes diversity and accessibility issues within all student populations, and provides a safe environment to celebrate the talents of women, people of color, persons with disabilities and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Questioning (LGBTQ) community. The conference keynote speaker will be author and LGBTQ civil rights leader Shane Windmeyer of the American Indian Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. Read more about the conference.
