Noted conservative editor Brookhiser will speak here Wednesday
Wednesday (Oct. 3) is a big day for political talk, both nationally and at UW-Green Bay. On the same evening the two presidential candidates begin their debates (broadcast of the first, in Denver, begins at 8 p.m. CDT), renowned author and editor Richard Brookhiser will lecture at 7 p.m. in the Rose Hall auditorium, Room 250. Brookhiser, senior editor of the conservative magazine The National Review and author of numerous books on America’s founding fathers, will speak about his most recent work, James Madison: Father of the Constitution, Father of Politics, during the event. As a noted historian and journalist, Brookhiser has appeared on such nationally televised programs as “Bill Moyers Journal,” “The Daily Show with John Stewart” and “The Colbert Report,” as well as others. It’s part of the Historical Perspectives Lecture Series. More details.
